The Intense State of the Band of Variable Thickness at Non-Uniform Heating

The problem of mechanics of fracture for a band (core) weakened by a rectilinear crack with end zones, a non-uniform temperature field being under action is considered. Thickness of a band is considered a variable. The condition of a limiting condition of a band is received.

Simulation of Partial Closure Crack-Visible Cavities in Burning Solid Fuel Under the Influence of Body Forces

On the basis of the theory of elasticity mathematical description of the model for the covering crack-visible cavities with end zones in which cohesive forces of material act, in the burning solid-fuel has been performed. It is accepted that the interaction of crack-visible cavity surfaces under the influence of body and surface loads leads to the appearance of overlap zones of their surfaces.

Modelling of Cracking in Circular Disk Loaded by Concentrated Forces

An isotropic disk of radius R, loaded on the contour by two concentrated forces P, apllied to the points z1 = R and z2 = −R, is considered. A model of cracking in a circular disk, based on consideration of fracture process zone, is proposed. It is assumed that the fracture process zone is a finite length layer, containing material with partially broken bonds between individual structural elements. Equations for determination of the external load critical value at which the crack is observed are obtained.
